Anthony (Tony) Bottagaro is a native of New York City and a longtime Colorado
resident. He is a seasoned executive, an acclaimed speaker, an award winning
and bestselling author, playwright, and stage performer with Mario the Peddler,
a one-man show filled with inspiration and hope!

In 1983 Tony received a prestigious Angel Award for Excellence in Media for his
first book To Create A World More Human and More Divine. A senior White
House staffer offered this observation: "Men of good will of all faiths can only be
impressed by the conviction in your message." Tony's award-winning docu-
mentary of the same title premiered at the Dag Hammarskjöld Auditorium at
the United Nations in 1984.

Some see Tony as a social activist with a spiritual perspective who has traveled
extensively bringing his challenging message of love, justice, and peace to
noted leaders, individuals, and institutions in all segments of society including
the U.S. Congress, the State Department, the Pentagon, and Pope John Paul II
at the Vatican.

In 1988 he received a third Angel Award for Revolution: A Challenge of Love.
John M. King Sr., retired Special Ambassador of the U.S.A., had this to say:
"Revolution provides inspiration and motivation for all people on their road to
leadership, success, and excellence, whether it be for public or personal benefit."

After an extended self-imposed exile, Tony again challenged injustice, abuse of
power, and corruption in 2006 by publishing The Poet, The Count, and The
Peddler
, a historical novel. After reading the novel, Joe Martori, Chairman and
CEO of ILX Resorts Incorporated, exclaimed "I strongly recommend this book
to everyone interested in justice...should—no, must—read this book." Carol
Colombo, founder of Axon Capital, called the book "...a modern day allegory
with an important message for our time." Mark A. Roy, Human Rights Advocate
and Former Advocate for Administrative Justice in the UN says this about the
book: "The actions of his hero, Mario, virtually echo the author's own actions in
that they demonstrate one man's devotion to divine love, compassion, truth,
liberty, freedom, human rights, and peace among all peoples and nations of the
world."

Mario the Peddler, a stage play based on the main character from the novel, was
written and is being performed by Tony as another way to present a timeless
underlying message about solving problems with unconditional love. Dr. Robert
J. Pugel, Assoc. Prof. Emeritus-English, Univ. of Colorado, described the show as
"a 'soul-shattering' experience, a magical moment that will expand your mind,
open your heart to love, and make you a different person. Make you a better
person."
